So, there's this bug that's decided to make a home between my window and the screen in my window frame. This would be fine, for the most part, if it wasn't a freaky looking. I mean, I hate bugs with a burning passion, but some of them are tolerable. This one scares me and IT WON'T GO AWAY. >_< I tried spraying it with air deodorizer, but this one is stubborn (Oh noez, PETA will now attack me).

Help!

Alright, I'm really behind on this, but I figured I tell you about AnimeNEXT this year!

First, pictahs~!: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=85823&id=668549584&l=cf8dd15ed9

Moving on, this year I had a lot of fun! ^_^ Because I actually cosplayed as a recognizable character (Rhyme from The World Ends With You) a lot of people stopped me to ask for pictures, so that was pretty neat. I also took a lot of pictures too (Hetalia cosplayers <3).

The convention changed locations this year from the Meadowlands Expo Center to the Garden State Exhibit Center/Double tree in Somerset. I have to say, I miss the old location even though I had only gone one year before. MEC was a closer ride, at about 20 minutes from home, while GSEC/DT was about an hour ride away. Now, I know this was done because the convention's gotten larger and it wanted more of a New Jersey  Con feel than a New York Con feel, but I kind of missed the convenience of everything at the MEC. Everyone could get a cheap bite to eat within a five minute walk of the con, but at GSEC/DT you had to find a way to get around if you didn't want to end up eating the overpriced con food (like me >_<). Plus, to get back and forth between the GSEC and the DT was pretty inconvenient.

Activity-wise,  I felt that some of the thing were a bit boring, hence why I didn't go. I did a lot of sitting around with Ariana and I can't even count how many times we walked through the Dealer's room and Artist's Alley to cure our boredom. Greg Ayres canceled at the last minute, and I was hoping to attend one of his panels and get a picture with him during the autograph session. Luckily, Kyle Hebert was still there. He's a super-cool guy, and very easy to talk to. I kept seeing him at various places throughout the con.

Maybe next year will be better. Andrew and I are planning to get a room and stay for all three days, along with Ariana, Tiff, and Sam. We all plan on doing some Hetalia cosplay (and possibly throwing a Hetalia sleepover with other cosplayers 8D)

Here are my cosplaying plans for next year:
Friday: Rhyme from The World Ends with You
Saturday: China (Yao Wong) from Hetalia Axis Powers
Sunday: Mio Akiyama (outfit from the ED) from K-ON!/ possibly no cosplay on Sunday female!Romano (Lovina [?] Vargas) from Hetalia Axis Powers

Everyone else's Hetalia Plans:
Ariana: Either Japan (Kiku Honda) or Hong Kong from Hetalia Axis Powers. She's leaning more towards Japan right now, but she could probably do both if she really wanted to.
Tiffany: North Italy (Feleziano Vargas) from Hetalia Axis Powers. She has her heart set on it. ^_^
Sam: Korea (Im Yong Soo) from Hetalia Axis Powers. I'm trying to convince her to go as South Italy (Lovino "Romano" Vargas) so she and Tiff can be the sibling duo next year, cause Andrew and I were this year. SAMIEKINS IS GOING AS ROMANO!!!!
Andrew: America (Alfred F. Jones) from Hetalia Axis Powers. Andrew, I know I told you about the show and how much you'd love America... heck, I showed you a picture of him and you were like "Yeah, I could cosplay as him" but you have to READ THE MANGA OR WATCH THE ANIME... OR BOTH. *facepalm*

Signing off.

No matter what language you speak, you've probably come across words or phrases in another language that sound better than their equivalents in your native tongue. What's your favorite word or phrase in a foreign language?

Oh yes, you know I will choose a Japanese phrase. Mine definitely is "Nani kore?" which translates into "What the hell?" It just has a certain ring to it and I actually like saying it better than "what the hell?"

Anyway, school is almost over! One full weel left and then finals! Finally! I need a break to get what I want to get done. Here's what I'll be doing this summer:
- summer reading/reading what I want
- watching anime
- learning to play bass guitar
- writing/ July Novel Writing Month
- Class Scrapbook
- hanging out with friends

I've been unsucessful with finding a summer job. I'm stuck at that age where camps don't want you but you can't get a job either. *sigh* Oh well.

AnimeNEXT is next week!!! I'm so excited! My costume is ready and I just have to attach a clay skull to Andrew's chain and we're both completely ready! We'll be the most amatuer looking Beat and Rhyme evar! I really would like to meet Greg Ayres and Kyle Hebert. I would die a happy fangirl if I did. :D

That's about it for now.

So here's how it went down. Wednesday, we had our end-of-the-year trip to Spring Lake. It was fun and the food was really good. My friends and I went boating and played ping-pong. I tried to catch some rays in the minimal time the sun was out. It rained just as we left though, as apposed to last year, when it rained when we first arrived at the pool. XD

Thursday night, I had my graduation and graduation dance. That was some fun stuff right there. I have pictures of me and my friends before the dance. Man, the dance was rockin'. They played too many rap and hip-hop songs, though. I think they played six and a half (I say half because the DJ ruined "Don't Stop Believin'" by only playing the intro and first verse then doing some random techo beat and repeating it) rock/alternative songs all together. I slow danced with Guy, a horrible slow dancer, but still a nice guy, Rohan, oh lawd, and Matt. I have to say Matt was the best out of all of them and he only had one arm to use (his arm's in a cast)! XD

Yesterday was... *drum rolls* AnimeNEXT! It was the, and I'm not exaggerating, greatest day of my life. Unlike Bamboozle, everyone was polite, funny, and charismatic! Bamboozle was just full of moshing jerks. The line for registration was not as long as I thought it would be. I thought it would be like an hour and a half to two hours, but we only waited about 45 minutes. :D I kinda went over board with the spending, but it was all worth it.

Andrew was extremely popular! Before the Masquerade, they panned the camera over the audience and they did a close-up on Andrew. The crowd went wild! He was the only who got that kind of reaction. XD The panels were so amazing too. Brad Swaile is just so funny! HE DID THE POTATO CHIP LINE AND A SMALL BIT OF LIGHT'S LAUGH IN THE LAST EPISODE! He also did some Megaman lines, specifically, "Jack in! Megaman! POWER UP!" and something about the mini-bombers. XD Brian did his whole bit with Ryuk and apples (someone actually gave him an apple as a gift, aw) and he did, "IT'S OVER 9000!" for us. And Aidan, he was just a little cutie! c: He was telling us about when he played Young Mikami, he also played the bully and the victim, so he was beating himself up. XD So cute!

I'm sad, though. I really wish we could have stayed all three days! I prolly would have run out of money though. I'm also kind of sad because when the last episode of Death Note premieres, I'll be away! So I can't go, "I heard Brad Swaile do the first 15 seconds of the laugh two weeks ago at AnimeNEXT!" *pouts* However I do have lots of pictures I have to post of our kitchen renovations, graduation, the con, and merch. I'll do that in a little bit.

That's right, summertime is just around the corner. Next week is my last full week of school, but we have graduation practice and the end-of-the-year trip to Spring Lake. So those days don't really count! It's gonna be epic. So, I have my graduation dress. It's purple, as you may have guessed and I got it from Torrid. I'll be sure to post graduation pictures!

School ends on the 23rd this year. School always lets out early for the last day. So, I usually go to Modern Bagel Cafe for lunch and head over to Barnes & Nobles and buy manga. This year, Mariel is going to join me! Yay!

In upcoming news about earlier events, AnimeNEXT is next weekend, not this upcoming one. There is a 99.9% chance Andrew and I will be attending all of Saturday's events. He's going to cosplay as Ash Ketchum and I'm going to go as a Japanese schoolgirl, because I don't have a character costume yet. D: Anyways, it's gonna be loads of fun! PICTURES OF THAT WILL ALSO BE POSTED. AND PROLLY PUT EVERYWHERE.

On the 25th, I'm leaving for Europe! Wow, I can't wait! We're also stopping in Munich, as well. Poor, Gal. I'm going to annoy the hell out of her the whole time. *snicker*

And finally, since starting Weight Watchers, I have lost 4.8 pounds. :D

Next year is going to be an amazing year for anime, not only will we have D.Gray-Man dubbed , but Romeo X Juliet dubbed too! :D 2009 seems so far away though...

AnimeNEXT is very soon. I talked to my mom about it and there's a very good chance Andrew will be staying for all or most of Saturday's events. We might also finally see Avenue Q because that's really the only Broadway show I wanna see this year.
